Douglas Hess Papers, 1970-1982.

The collection consists of chronological files of Interoffice Memos (IOMs) concerning the JOP (Jupiter Orbiter Probe), later named the Galileo Project. They include safety review procedures, the environmental testing records, Revolution per Minute Critical Design Review Action Items, cost reviews and budget guidelines. The budget guidelines includes: Galileo Vega Budget, Division 35 Galileo Budget, Galileo Phase III Budget, Division 35 Budget for Galileo 84 Red Option, Galileo Solid Rocket Motor Update Budget, Solid Rocket Motor Resources Status Report Budget and the Galileo Flight Experiments Budget. All are arranged as created in reverse chronological order, with file titles retained as found. Binder/folder arrangement was maintained. Current arrangement depends on first folder date only; some folders are continuous.
